For the first time this year, the  retreat of the IRTG “Defects to Effects Engineering in Materials Science” took place to give early career researchers the chance to informally discuss their scientific results and make plans for future collaborations. In addition to the scientific exchange, a one-day workshop on time management was attended. The DEEMS retreat was mainly organized and carried out by the two PhD representatives.
