On January 16, the New Year’s Colloquium organized by the SFB1361 and in cooperation with other collaborations (SFB1551, GenEvo, 4R-RTG) took place with a lecture by Mita Banerjee. She impressively showed how language and culture influence science, but also vice versa, how science can cause a change in the use of language. After the lecture, there was a lively discussion about the topic over finger food and drinks.
