On December 11, 2025, we had the great pleasure of learning about the physics behind a zombie apocalypse at a joint event organized by the SFB1361, SFB15551, SFB1552, 4R-RTG, and GenEvo consortia. In a fantastic and captivating lecture, Michael te Vrugt illustrated how the physics behind a zombie apocalypse can be linked to epidemiology and how lessons can be learned from this about how to combat diseases such as Covid-19.
